Pilates is a form of exercise which concentrates on strengthening the body with an emphasis on core strength, at the same time it envolves posture, balance and flexibility. The classic pilates method – originally known as Controllogy – follows the traditional series of exercises designed by Joseph Pilates, performed in the precise sequence he had intended, with the purpose of achieving complete coordination of body, mind and spirit. Continuous, smooth transitions as you move from one position to another create strength and stamina with intense focus on the core. In Pilates classes you’ll navigate through pilates exercises set in a fluid, precise and controlled sequence, using mainly your body weight and developing a strong core. Flow allows you to truly enjoy the experience of balanced movement, developing strength and improving flexibility.
Please bring your mat and a theraband (elastic band) + 1 pair of tennis balls if you have at home.
